Description:

The IT Cutover Lead is accountable for working closely with the business and technology teams for GBE to ensure that a cross functional deployment (rollback) schedule for cutover weekend (s). This role will also be responsible for the environment management plan, scheduling, monitor and controls.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead and drive internal cross functional program to create, monitor and control the associated GBE Releases in respect to deployment, environmental management and meet other program deliverables.
  • Manage or Create project schedules to identify when each task will be done and by whom. Manage project schedules and lead enforcement of project deadlines in response to the capability or workstream team
  • Define the KPIS and success metrics and criteria for multiple release scenarios (dev / test/ production releases).
  • Proactively identifying resource constraints across cross functional teams that are considered and work to provide creative options / solutions to senior management. Manage the unexpected gracefully and effectively.
  • Serve as the conduit and act as liaison between the customers (internal and external), software development team and technical teams. Maintain key relationships with project sponsors to forecast resource needs and communicate those needs to management.
  • Ensure effective cross-functional teamwork among project team members including both internal and external business, IT and vendors.
  • Ensure cohesive planning, scheduling and controlling the progression of authorized change actions fromdev to test to to live environments.
  • Develop and make transparent the environment management plan to schedule and control a multiple release strategy for multiple code beds, test environments and DRs to ensure capacacity and usage via schedule and control procedures.
  • Engage in the project from designing, building, testing, and deployment and throughout post deployment, and also engage as needed to understand the status
  • Construct a detail playbook or deployment plan that represents all activities associated with UAT environment setup, Dress Rehearsals and production cutovers. Ensure solutions are transitioned smoothly through the production cut-over process and applicable reporting provided
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change, work beyond the IT department to further optimize and improve existing process.
  • Determine viable, creative options and solutions and obtain needed approvals to proceed forward when faced with obstacles, barriers, delays and challenges to successful completion of program.
  • Constant, on-going communications are a must to keep internal and external stakeholders informed and updated on deployment and environmental usuage.
  • Build and sustain high performing matrixed deployment teams
  • Manage technical issues, risks and priorities. Perform risk assessment and implement risk mitigation plans.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change, work beyond the IT department to further optimize and improve existing process
Qualifications Required:
  • BS in a relevant discipline or, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Seasoned Program Manager {10 years +} with direct related experience in managing “Mega” Programs (in excess of $500M) related deployments and or releases.
  • Ten (10) years of project/program management or project leadership experience the ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers at all organizational levels.
  • Experience managing multiple projects streams or a large project with complex inter-dependencies
  • Ability to lead a large scale projects, including development of plans for scope, timeline, budget, issue management, and managing change
  • Experience conducting and leading team meetings to manage the schedule, identify risks and review project deliverables. Comfortable with frequent changes or unpredictability.
  •  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skilll
