- Develop sound conclusions and write reports of project results. Interact with clients and vendors to resolve technical problems relating to assigned work.
- Compute, analyze and record test data.
- Maintain accurate records of calibrations, testing and analytical work performed including required traceability on equipment utilized.
- Perform all routine and some complex calibrations, tests, test set- ups, data collection and/or data analysis in accordance with all pertinent customer and QA program requirements.
- Perform research and make recommendations to resolve non-conforming conditions, out of tolerance conditions, process improvements and procurement of testing components and equipment.
- Associates degree or equivalent or PMEL training (no experience required), or a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus four years of relevant experience.
- Must be capable of obtaining/maintaining unescorted access to nuclear plants. Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability, interpersonal skills, and strong customer orientation.
- Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle. Ability to work independently and at remote locations.
- Ability to lift and carry loads up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to load and unload company vehicles. Ability to climb ladders and assemble test equipment from elevated staging platforms up to 10 feet above ground.
- Ability to respond to off hours urgent client requests.
- Work is normally done in an environmentally controlled laboratory setting. However, some tasks will entail proximity to high voltage apparatus or chemicals.
- Some work is performed at client’s premises which can include industrial environments.
