  • Write, build and execute tests to validate reporting functionality, capabilities and results;

          • Build and/or execute comprehensive automation scripts;
          • Review reporting business and technical design documentation to identify gaps in analysis and critical areas for testing;
          • Partner with Business Analysis and Design team to ensure that reporting functional and technical requirements are defined and validated;
          • Help manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with internal and external stakeholders for all reporting cases;
          • Develop and execute test plans that assign and track testing activities across teams;
          • Map testing documentation to business and technical requirements and develop protocol for test script updates;
          • Create full test suite throughout testing process;
          • Manages the QA function for strategic reporting projects;
          • Implement QA industry standards/best practices with defined benchmarks and measures;
          • Provide updates to Program Management Office;
          • Partner and collaborate with members of multiple project teams to insure QA, development, and project management are aligned;
          • Meet with managers and developers when needed to discuss Data and QA-related issues;
          • Attend and report in daily scrum meetings to stay informed on day-to-day activities;
          • Bridge communication with downstream teams.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing specialized knowledge of system requirements and programming specifications.
  • Designs solutions based on customer needs and technical considerations.
  • Analyzes job tasks, organizational structure and user requirements to provide system-wide solutions.
  • Applies analytical expertise to assist in defining, analyzing, validating and documenting complex operating environments, states of technology and current processes.

Quality Assurance:

  • Understand and write/update Functional and Technical documentation.
  • Intermediate SQL skills (select, insert, update, joins, data types, subqueries/nested queries, etc.).
  • Experience using SQL Developer, SQL Plus and FTP clients.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS/XML, web services and SoapUI testing.
  • Basic understanding of ETL processes and scheduled automated processes.
  • Understanding of SDLC environments/tiers and their functions (DEV, TST, STG, PRD, etc.).
  • Experience testing on various web browsers and browser versions and configuring browser settings.
  • Experience creating automated testing scripts for both functional and performance testing.
  • Ability to learn and understand complex Business Processes and Business Rules quickly.
  • Problem solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Communicate with 3rd parties as needed for requirements gathering.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Lead meetings and prioritize assignments.
  • Learn and adapt to new management software systems (i.e. Remedy, HP Quality Center, SharePoint, etc.).

Business:

  • Experience working in an agile methodology and creating agile deliverables.
  • Experience using requirements and/or testing management tools (e.g. Confluence and Clarizen).
  • Experience in projects related to Sourcing / Procurement.
  • Experience with the legacy technology in use at MOCS today (to be sunset) is helpful: Documentum xCP and Blaze Rules Engine.
  • SDLC system implementation of ERP and/or procurement software. Previous experience with FMS, the City’s ERP system.
  • Previous experience with PASSPort, the City’s procurement system.
  • Delivery of broad client-side system integrations with focus on SaaS implementations/configurations.
  • Experience natural language and development in any of the following programming language: .NET, Java, C#, C++, R, Python, SQL.
  • Advanced education in computer science, information technology and related engineering fields.
  • IIBA professional certification.
  • Experience with leading and/or managing critical aspects of a Portfolio or Project Management Office (PMO) including strategy alignment, capacity management, benefit cost (ROI) analysis, evaluation and KPI analytics, prioritization and interdependency evaluation, roadmap development and risk management.
