Due to COVID the person will be remote until further notice.


Ok to work remote, however, since contract hire, the candidate will need to either be near a hub location (Minnesota, Abbott Park, Sylmar, and Plano) or be willing to relocate to Minnesota once we are clear to return to the office.

Sr. level Software Engineer

  • Working knowledge of Azure and Azure PaaS services
  • Experience with tools such as Terraform, Git, Gitlab
  • Knowledgeable in CI/CD in relation to Gitlab, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
  • 7+ years of equivalent experience or software development experience
  • 4+ years of sr. Dev Ops Space
  • 2+ years of Azure experience
  • Azure and tools similar to Terraform are required
  • Working knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and primarily DevOps development methodologies
  • IOT supporting the medical devices
  • BA degree is required

Job Summary:

All DevSecOps Engineer have the skills to:

  • Develop large and/or complex software programs, including designing, coding and testing related to infrastructure automation and application deployment.
  • Enables tool suites for infrastructure automation and application deployment.
  • Defines and creates test cases, executes test activities and reports on progress.

The DevSecOps Engineer is a force multiplier and innovation engine that enables applications to be deployed in a streamlined, secure, and consistent manner to support of the business.


The Sr DevSecOps Engineer’s primary Job Functions are:

  • Defines, plans & designs application requirements for new or modified applications
  • Leverages existing understanding of infrastructure AND application development and deployment as well as on the job learning to support DevSecOps projects
  • Is owner of DevSecOps Git projects and is responsible for maintaining said projects

  • Passion for DevOps, Agile, and Security
  • Working knowledge of Azure and Azure PaaS services
  • Working knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and primarily DevOps development methodologies
  • Normally determines technical objectives of assignments. Exercises latitude in approach to solutioning
  • Knowledgeable in managing software code projects and conducting management of said projects
  • Experience with Automation in testing or orchestration
  • Knowledgeable in software development languages such as Golang and Ruby
  • Experience with tools such as Terraform, Git, Gitlab
  • Knowledgeable in CI/CD in relation to Gitlab, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
  • Ability to become knowledgable on: Palo Alto, F5 Networks, RHEL, Windows, & Azure Services
  • Exposed to security checks in CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of virtualization and container technologies (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Experience working with application teams and collaborating and/or coordinating application deployments
  • Ability to contribute to dev ops workflows via coding and other regular system administration activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PowerShell and/or other object-oriented scripting languages
  • General exposure to how key networking components operate/function, primarily firewalls and load-balancers/reverse proxies such F5 LTM/GTM or Azure native services

  • Able to define implementation activities and assign individual responsibilities; sometimes assume leadership role for implementation activities; coordinating implementation with other parts of the enterprise and provide routine status of activities to Project Mgr. and/or direct supervisor.
  • Maintains accurate inventory for software
  • Responsible for staying abreast of new developments in software technologies and making recommendations as appropriate
  • Accountable for preventative maintenance planning, product lifecycle planning, and software update planning
  • Identifies tasks and processes requiring automation and implements the most effective solution. Develops detailed implementation, test and roll-back procedures for planned changes
  • Applies enterprise security policies and standards when performing all operational duties
  • Self-directed coordination of implementation projects, tasks, device documentation and cross training of coworkers
  • Familiar with DevSecOps integration into pipelines
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
