  Job Description

  • Provide engineering technical support to the site Infrastructure Engineering Team with responsibilities for site electrical systems within a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Andover, Massachusetts.
  • Provide detailed, technical, robust design and operational solutions in support of site electrical infrastructure, including 15kv/480v protection devices, 15kv/480v distribution system, transformers, substations, Motor Control Centers, electrical load management systems, UPS systems, emergency/life safety diesel generator distribution, combined heat and power turbines, boilers, associated controls.
  • Maintain robust asset lifecycle plans for site electrical distribution including transformers, substations, Motor Control Centers, Lead the development of strategic asset master plans to inform capital investment requirements
  • Support the evaluation of new equipment technologies that increase plant robustness
  • Support multiple projects and ongoing work activities typically involving cross-functional representatives.
  • Support electrical power plant operations, including synchronization, paralleling, load lines, etc.
  • Participate in site electrical safety program, ARC Flash analysis, breaker coordination, developing and updating site electrical and power plant standards and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Provide technical engineering support to develop scope of work, project execution plans, and associated engineering studies for equipment / component installation, modification, replacement, in accordance with site specifications.
  • Leverage site project management team to execute scopes of work.
  • Provide technical trouble shooting support using Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), with good engineering practices and problem solving techniques.
  • Support proactive reliability assessments including data collection, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), HAZOP analysis and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide good judgment and innovation by utilizing and adapting a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices acquired through progressive experience.
  • Lead and coordinate Facility / Utility Shutdown efforts to complete planned preventive / corrective maintenance and capital projects to improve asset reliability.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated, show initiative, and work well independently or in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of automated systems with ability to troubleshoot.
  • Industrial Electrical Engineer 10+ years exp.
  • Looking for hands on Pharma / Manufacturing electrical exp.
  • Diesel generators , backup power, cooling generators operation side vs design side but review designs and verify designs
  • Electrical side of lab renovations
  • Lighting safety, light protection systems maintenance, remplacement exp. UPS replacements
  • Electrical Engineering Degree
