  Job Description

  • The Role will leverage big data to conduct predictive analytics that will ultimately inform marketing and sales strategies (e.g., segmentation, spend optimization).
  • Specifically, the role will be responsible for building new business models, interpreting the results, and communicating key findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • This role will report to the Director of Advanced Analytics within the Commercial Acceleration (“CA”) Organization.

Responsible:

  • Maintaining accountability for high quality and timely delivery of analytics service requests, including requests for solutions requiring sophisticated statistical and machine learning approaches
  • Building models and methodologies to inform and evaluate brands’ marketing and sales tactics (e.g., marketing mix, resource allocation, segmentation) using latest data science techniques (Bayesian Statistics, Econometrics, Neural Networks/Logistic, ANCOVA, etc.)
  • Manipulating highly complex structured and unstructured data from a variety of sources and conducting predictive analytics to identify actionable insights and drive targeting and solve business problems
  • Supporting the development and execution of experiments (e.g., A|B n and multi-variate tests) to assess the effectiveness of various tactics; help modify tactics based on HCP / consumer response
  • Enhancing the HCP targeting process and assessing field force effectiveness
  • Determining KPIs to track the effectiveness of recommendations that have been implemented; build wireframes to show how the data will be visualized
  • Measuring impact (e.g., ROI, engagement) of digital campaigns and helping modify future campaigns based on findings
  • Identifying areas in which the Advanced Analytics team can “plug in” and drive analytical innovation and value for Brands

  • Serve as a functional expert in advanced analytics, including data modeling and analysis
  • Act as a subject matter expert in advanced analytics and bring analytical innovation and best in class ideas/frameworks to test and measure performance and impact of business related decisions
  • Provide creative solutions to complex issues where fundamental principles do not clearly apply or where data appears to conflict
  • Become a trusted advisor to cross-functional stakeholders by delivering high-quality analytics

Operational

  • Discover business insights by building and developing models and methodologies and applying sophisticated statistical and machine learning approaches
  • Help evolve analytical models and methods to better align with the Commercial Analytic Roadmap
  • Provide input on the development and testing of analytics tools that provide access to self-service reporting and analytics models
  • Identify KPIs to track the efficiency and effectiveness of the digital initiatives
  • Measure the campaign’s impact, leveraging learnings to modify future campaigns
  • Understand how the evaluation and implementation of new data sources, tools, and capabilities impact analytical capabilities
  • Work cross-functionally with the Brand teams, Digital Marketing, and Vendors to meet franchise needs
  • Build strong, cross-functional relationships to leverage company’s expertise to accomplish business goals and objectives

Education & Experience Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in Statistics, STEM, Economics or equivalent field required
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working on data science projects, plus 2 years of Healthcare experience a plus
  • Experience in commercial operations within life sciences a plus; understanding of sales force sizing and segmentation and targeting
  • Proven experience working with pharmaceutical datasets (Rx, APLD, etc.)
  • Experience using data to support business decisions, return on investment/ financial modeling, and statistical analysis
  • Ability to present analytical results to management
  • Ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets
  • Experience in building ANCOVA models, Shapley Value and digital attribution Machine Learning techniques, tests, A|B n and multivariate designs to measure digital marketing response
  • Expertise in one or more statistical modeling tools such as Python, R, SAS, or Alteryx required
  • Proven self-starter with high standards of excellence and an innovative mind
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
