  Job Description

Client Molecular Oncology is seeking a motivated contractor to discover and develop new therapeutics for the treatment of human malignancies. The position is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join exciting ongoing projects and/or launching new projects, contribute to the progression of existing portfolio in molecular oncology and cancer dependency, as well as learn new drug discovery and research skills.

 

Position Overview/Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior/principal scientist and biology/chemistry/biochem group leaders to design, develop, and execute experiment protocols
  • Record all data and results in specified forms (both electronic and paper) with accuracy and timeliness. Upload biology data into company database
  • In vitro and/or cell-based drug screening assays
  • Help maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are strictly followed at all times and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Summarize data in an organized and presentable fashion

 

Primary Job Requirements:

  • A., B.Sc., or M.Sc. with 2+ years laboratory experience
  • Highly motivated, organized and pay attention to details
  • Experience in mammalian cell culture is required
  • Basic laboratory skills in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology is essential and experience working with small molecules in a drug discovery setting is highly desirable
  • Follow protocols, willing to learn and adjust based on project needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment on an interdisciplinary team and a fast-paced matrix environment
  • Must have excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize assigned work in order to meet regular timelines
