Facilitate inventory and desktop lifecycle management and provides ideas and options for improvements to the processes

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the PC hardware and software asset system.

Duties:

  • Responsible for assisting with implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the PC hardware and software asset system.
  • Monitor incoming work orders to ensure fulfillment in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitors and reviews software license and hardware compliance. Help facilitate adequate stock levels to ensure fulfillment request.
  • Performs work using existing standards, methodologies and processes and have a basic understanding of other systems/business processes relationship to each other.
  • Provide metrics necessary to support desktop asset functions. Serves as a team member, may also indirectly assist/guide contractors.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures.
  • Maintains productive relationships with peers, IT management, functional business areas and external partners.
  • Works under supervision of more experienced analysts. Regular assignments are completed with minimal supervision.
  • Work is reviewed for overall accuracy, completeness and soundness of business processes. Has input to decisions that impact task level activities.
  • Low to medium complexity work.
  • Errors or failure to achieve expected results may result in the expenditure of more resources than was planned or could have an indirect impact on software or hardware compliance.

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree, No advanced degree required. 1-2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting desktop software and hardware compliance. Knowledge in the use of the entire Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent Customer support skills. Knowledge in records keeping, statistical analysis, reporting and desktop asset lifecycle. Knowledge of desktop operating systems , application support as well as desktop application licensing and contract management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of process flow and desktop inventory system functionality.
