Job Summary:                               

The  Payroll Coordinator is responsible for leading and supporting the payroll activities. This position serves as the lead for the Company's payroll system by coordinating and processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll and various types of scheduled and off-cycles. This position also works alongside management and offers guidance as a mentor to the hr and cares team.

Essential Functions:

  • Work collaboratively within the payroll, accounting, hr and cares team to ensure payroll is properly computed, prepared, recorded, and distributed to the Company's employees
  • Assist in designing and developing processes and controls integrating HR operations and accounting to ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Responsible for processing biweekly multistate payroll processing and ensuring payroll is properly prepared. This includes, but is not limited to, the processing of all payroll reports, employee changes, required deductions, special payroll runs and payments (including withholding, unemployment, and tax) with accuracy and by required deadlines
  • Assist in compiling data to fulfill audit requirements, legal reporting and compliance requirements
  • Keeps apprised of federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure company compliance
  • Trains team on payroll processes and procedures as well as providing payroll knowledge

  • Accurately processing regular payroll, bonuses, pay increases, and final pay in a timely manner
  • Monitoring and staying up to date regarding multi-state payroll laws
  • Accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining payroll data and employee information in company's payroll system
  • Compiling / extracting data and generating a variety of regular and ad hoc payroll reports.
  • Working independently and collaboratively with other members of the Payroll and Accounting teams

Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of full cycle payroll in a multi-state payroll experience at a large, fast-paced company
  • Previous experience processing payroll using different technologies
  • Timekeeping is desired
  • Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) at an intermediate level; Microsoft Apps is highly desired
