  Job Description

Summary

  • Provide technical and analytical support for customs and trade compliance matters at the site/division level, ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations and trade laws and regulations, including 19CFR, 15CFR, FDA, USDA, and other US regulatory agency requirements.

 

Duties:

  • Applies working knowledge of import/export regulations and requirements to support business needs.
  • Consolidate and analyze import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for savings.
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations to management, as appropriate.
  • Interface with related functional areas (logistics, purchasing, materials management, etc.) on customs matters.
  • Provide analytical support, as needed, for reporting price adjustments, royalties, etc. via the CBP Reconciliation Prototype Program.
  • Conduct effective and timely transactional review/audit of all import/export records.
  • Elevate issues requiring correction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform post entry reviews (PER) on imports for the Client Point of Care US entity, in order to confirm that the information provided to government upon importation is accurate.
  • Track shipments and monitor deliveries and clearances
  • Communications with Corporate Customs & Trade Compliance (CC&TC) in order to clear shipments for importation (BFRI Response)
  • Ensures internal processes alignment with Corporate Customs & Trade Compliance (CC&TC) procedures
  • Notification and correction of any import errors identified during the PER process

Knowledge:

  • Experience and knowledge of HTS classification and understanding various countries import and export regulations.
  • Understanding of government reporting of import and exports Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree: REQUIRED Business, logistics/transportation, or other relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in import/export operations, international business, or other relevant field.
  • Entry-level college graduates to be considered based on relevance of degree.
  • Sound problem solving and analytical abilities and close attention to detail required.
  • Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are absolutely critical for this
