Panel Operator / Lab Technician I –Part time

  • Currently our panel operators are responsible for preparation of the test samples which includes, rolling out product (paper towels, bath tissue, facial tissue, etc), coding samples and arranging samples in the appropriate order for paneling and then executing the panel.
  • Execution requires presentation of the samples to the panelist in assigned booths.
  • This person must be detailed oriented, possess good communication skills and able to follow specific instructions provided by the on-site supervisor or the Panel Leader.
  • This person must be able to stand for long periods as this work requires standing and being on feet for 6-8 hours per day and has repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to navigate a computer/tablet and have working knowledge of MS Excel, Ipads etc.
  • This sometimes, fast-paced work, can also change quickly so the ability to be flexible and multi-task are desired attributes for this candidate.
  • Additional duties include assisting with receiving plant samples shipped from the dock.
  • While the hours for this assignment are scheduled based on business needs, the candidate MUST be available Monday thru Thursday from 8am-3pm.
  • A typical schedule would be minimum 2-3 days/week.

Panel Operator Expectations:

  • Preparation of the test samples daily in the allotted time. (Includes acquiring/ locating the correct product samples by the test request number, rolling them out, coding samples and collating in numerical order)Setting up iPads this includes turning them on, clearing out the website data, and put them in the booths.
  • Presentation of samples to panelists in booths
  • Maintain awareness during panel and resolve any issues during testing
  • Maintain iPads (i.e., charging, putting away in cabinet etc.)
  • Clean benchtop area in lab daily.
  • Assist with receiving products from the dock and label the box with the received date.

Must Haves

  • Ability to stand for long periods (6-8 hrs/day) of time.
  • Excellent execution enabled by strong attention to detail
