Role: NetApp Storage Specialist

Location: Bethlehem, PA (preferred) or anywhere in USA, but resource will be required to work Eastern Standard Time Business Hours

Duration: 6 months plus. This is a Contract to Hire role. We will NOT accept H1B candidates.

Position Objective:

The primary focus of the role is to act as a Storage Administrator. The role also requires a broad knowledge of the IT stack including Operating Systems (Windows, Red Hat Linux), VMWare, Network, and Cloud strategies (e.g. AWS or Azure). The position exists to provide 24x7 operational monitoring, first and second level troubleshooting, and resolution coordination for Client’s Storage infrastructure both on-prem and hosted in the Cloud.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with NetApp and Cloud Storage Technologies
  • Experience with Brocade FC switches (zoning, upgrades, etc.)
  • 5-8 years demonstrated hands on NetApp SAN management & storage administration activities, in a FC-SAN and/or NAS configuration
  • OnTap installation, configuration, upgrade, and management experience
  • Experience with complex NAS/SAN management activities; multi-site replication, array-to-array migrations, disaster recovery, etc.
  • Experience with WFA/Ansible and automation preferred
  • Experience with EMC ECS, NetApp CVO, NetApp E-Series and OnTap Select a plus
  • Experience with large environments (3 PB) and migration planning
  • Experience with Active IQ Unified Manager and/or Cloud Insights
  • Experience with NFS/CIFS/Multiprotocol and Fibre Channel SAN
  • Experience with scripting preferred (perl, shell scripting, PowerShell, json, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professional verbally and written
  • Energetic, motivated and calm under pressure
  • Ability to work in team environment on assigned tasks and large projects

Preferred Skills:

  • VMWare experience with Storage preferred
  • Experience with a ticketing system/workflow management system (Service Now)
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Experience with Cloud technologies in AWS preferred. Understanding of storage in the cloud
